Over the last few weeks we have been researching and looking at websites about our business. My group has been looking at making youtube videos about chickens. I have learned about making scripts and making slides about chickens. We have decided that we will try to get famies

What i spoke about - My brothers and how the act each day and what they like and disslike.

What i did well- I spoke fluently and clearly with a loud voice.

How i would improve my presentation next time- not use um all the time

What I did- We did the background then the tree then the leaves, then the flowers. Then Mr Dillon took a photo of us then we glued it together.

What I liked-I liked doing the flowers because they look pretty.

One day in a small town there was a big kid named Sean. He was the size of a hippopotamus he is so strong his arms are the size of the rocks. He was so strong he could lift a bus with his bare hands. As a bus was driving past Sean decided to pick up the bus because he could smell chicken nuggets. He shook the bus like a earthquake and all the kids fell out onto their bottoms. He picked up one kid who looked very scared. Sean asked the little boy “where are my chicken nuggets”. The boy said “here you go” and big Sean shook them out of the boys bag then suddenly an even larger figure appeared in the neighbourhood named Steve. Big Steve was his name and he said “CAN I SMELL CHICKEN NUGGETS” then suddenly Sean ate the entire lunchbox of chicken nuggets in one gulp! Then big Steve shuffled in his bag a bit to find a bucket of pink paint and then tipped it all of the paint all over Sean. Sean tried to clean the paint off it it was pointless Sean was pink as pink panther. Then after that the little kids started laughing. So then big Steve said “BETTER WATCH OUT OR YOU'LL BE NEXT” then the little kids in the neighbourhood gathered together to have a talk then one kid pulled out a phone out of his pocket and then he called super inflated ball nugget and ordered a big box of inflatable chicken nuggets then the truck delivered the chicken nuggets and then the the box opened by itself then big steve and big sean started to eat them after they had eaten the chicken nuggets there stomachs got bigger and bigger and bigger. So the kids said it's volleyball time then the kids liffed big sean and big steve so then big sean and big steve went into space then they got in a argument then they wanted to help each other. Then big Sean said “WE NEED TO POP! Then big Steve said” SOUNDS MESSY”! Then they hald hands and floated away under a very spiky satellite

BANG”! Sean and Steve went back to normal size then big Stuart  came along.

Hemi

Goal: Retell a story in our own words.

 Hemi’s dad asked him to do the lawns. They had to be mowed by the end of the weekend or Hemi won't get any pocket money. Hemi would rather be making inventions. Then Hemi said to himself “I should make a robot mower”

Hemi got a old computer, a laser,dad's own nose clippers, a blender and  four steak knives. Hemi stayed up all night making his invention. In the morning Hemi wheeled the robot onto the lawn. The robot started to mow the lawns then hemi fell asleep but then when Hemi woke up the robot wos not there.

Then Hemi could hear music and noise so Hemi Hemi went into the town. Hemi saw the robot.and the town was happy  .He  pulled him by the ear and took him home

Maddy - Welcome everyone to our first video.

 Riley- Now we go to the vireo stand  because we are going to interview the people who take shifts for sustainable backyards

Maddy -  so if you are wondering what stable backyard is when visitors come from all over the world to vist our school we give free tours and they can buy stuff from the stand
Riley - so know we are going to the chicken coop for a tour

Maddy- hello this is our chicken coop / describe the coop

Riley - that was so good wait a minute have you got chickens you should go buy some chicken so we will see you after the break.

Maddy’s ad - Hey have you got chickens, well i got that sorted here is some reasons you should buy some chickens                                                    
They give you fresh egg’s
They are friendly
You can have fun learning the names
You can hug them
You can collect the poop and turn it into compost or fertilizer

Handwriting goals

W.A.L.T  complete a piece of handwriting display my best work

- Set learning goals to improve my handwriting.

What did I do well? I have very good slope.

calf and lamb day

W.A.L.T - reflect on our calf and lamb day work.

What I did - This year I made a rock art hedgehog. First I had to get a rock, then Mrs Fergus put white spray paint on it. Then I had to find a good picture of a hedgehog and draw it on my rock. The next day I had to colour it in with felt pen.

What I would change - Next time I would make the hedgehog a bit bigger so it can fit my hole rock.

Other comments - I liked how you could borrow mrs Fergus’s felts

Chicken diary

I was happy to come to school because our chicks hatched. When I got to school the first thing I did was look at the chicks. There were two blacks,two yellow,one blueish grey and one ginger. My favourite part of this was we have our chicks. I hope the new one gets cuter because it is ugly.

A business is something that makes money. It usually sells products, foods or services. People are important parts of businesses. They usually have a name and they can trade things. They are not always shops they can be on the internet. Riley and Hayley is in my group. My group is making Youtube videos.

weekly reflection - week 8

what - yesterday the year 4 into Mrs stark class and we did some research on some little creatures it was long but fun.Me and Maddy went together and we got our work done just in time.


So what - Last week i learnt about kowhaiwhai's the kowhaiwhai's are in Maori bases.

My favourite activity so far this year was - camp because there where lots of activities and they were awesome and fun.

I was helpful to someone else when - They slipped over i helped them up.

Something i have  learned so far this year was - chickens because i didn't know what they could eat but now i do.

The piece of work i am most proud of is - art because i am getting better at it.

Something i am looking forward to is - rippa rugby practise because i love playing rugby with my friends.

My next learning step is - to treat others how they want to be treated.

It was a cold and dark Tuesday night. We went on a night walk. I felt nervous but why? I got changed into warm clothes. Then we lined up at the bush. Then the goosebumps came it was scary. Then we went in the goblin bush when I got out of the first bush toppy scared the heck out of me. I felt tired by the end of it all.
